Commissioner Espenoza summarized communications regarding last year's passage of the Uniform Antitrust Pre-Merger Notification Act. She was approached while the bill was in the House and opted to not offer the suggested amendments. Since then, interested parties have been working in California to amend the act.

Commissioner Snyder added that he was not approached while the bill was in the Senate, but has been approached since. He emphasized that the requested modifications are not based on any "real world" problems encountered.
