Senators Jodeh and Frizell, primary bill sponsors, introduced House Bill 26-1070, which requires a dental provider to give affirmative consent before an insurance carrier can allow a third party to access the providerâs services and contractually agreed upon discounts and specifies the required contract terms. An insurance carrier cannot terminate a contract with a dental provider who refuses access to their services and discounts to a third party. The bill does not apply to provider network contracts for dental services provided under the Childrenâs Basic Health Plan Act and the Colorado Medical Assistance Act. |
