Senator Marchman, co-sponsor, presented House Bill 26-1259, which concerns changing requirements related to early childhood services, including clarifying or extending specified existing licensing exemptions, updating early care and education provider reimbursement, modifying certain existing funding provisions for the universal preschool program, clarifying certain existing program eligibility and reporting requirements, and adjusting the membership or duties of specified early childhood advisory bodies. She provided opening comments on the bill and distributed amendment L.008 (Attachment A).

Tim Derocher, representing Colorado Department of Early Childhood, testified in support of the bill. He answered questions from the committee.
